If so this exciting role could be for you! Our clinet is looking for a Mechanical Inspector to join there well-established manufacturing team producing high-precision engineered components. This role plays a key part in ensuring all machined parts and assemblies meet engineering drawings, quality standards, and customer requirements.
You will work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams, supporting continuous improvement while maintaining the highest levels of inspection accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out incoming, first-off, in-process, and final inspection of machined components and assemblies
* Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
* Use precision measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and CMMs
* Calibrate and maintain in-house inspection and measuring equipment
* Identify, record, and report non-conformances in line with quality procedures
* Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Maintain accurate inspection records and reports
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality standards
Experience & Skills Required
* Proven experience in a Mechanical Inspector or similar quality-focused role
* Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
* Hands-on experience using precision measurement tools
* Good understanding of machining and manufacturing processes
* High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Desirable
* CMM operation or programming experience (training available)
* Experience inspecting machined components
* Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
