Birmingham City Council – Regulation & Enforcement is a statutory service comprising Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Markets, Licensing, Bereavement services, Animal Welfare, Pest Control, Coroners, Illegal Money Lending and more. This post is for a Business Support Officer in the Environmental Health Service within Regulation & Enforcement.
Location: Birmingham, England, United Kingdom
Contract: Permanent • Grade 3 • 36.5 hours per week • Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days working from home)
Responsibilities
* Management of a shared mailbox for Fixed Penalty Notices
* Finance – processing of Purchase Orders / Invoices / taking payment
* Investigative systems usage / interrogation of databases to resolve business queries
* Service-specific data input & job creation using multiple IT platforms

We are looking for an experienced business admin professional who is proactive, able to use your own initiative, and confident in making suggestions to improve, implement and drive change. You should be resilient and able to support a large service area, ensuring business support tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
