Orchard Hill College is an outstanding specialist college operating community‑based centres across London and Surrey. We seek a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer to join our team.
Responsibilities
* Effective planning of teaching and learning within the designated curriculum.
* Ensuring that student learning experiences are organised in a progression which supports the development of the individual.
* Implementing appropriate assessment, objective setting, recording, reporting and evaluation of educational programmes.
* Effective management and supervision of team members, including volunteers, students and visitors as necessary.
* Participation in and planning/delivery of staff development opportunities to up‑date or develop new skills.
* Communicating effectively with students, carers and professionals.
* Demonstrating a commitment to student achievement and to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, and to promoting the College's Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Must hold a Certificate of Education (CertEd) on appointment, or an equivalent teaching qualification, or be willing to undertake the CertEd.
* Proficiency in assessment, objective setting, recording, reporting and evaluation of educational programmes.
* Commitment to ensuring that students with special needs can and do achieve.
* Strong communication skills with students, carers and professionals.
