Environmental Enforcement Officer Location: West Northamptonshire Council, NN1 1ED Pay: £13.45 per hour Contract: Temporary (Agency) Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week | Weekly Pay Shift Pattern Monday to Friday 07:00 – 19:00 Occasional weekend working required Make a Real Difference in Your Community We’re seeking motivated, community-focused Environmental Enforcement Officers to help keep West Northamptonshire clean, safe, and welcoming. Working on behalf of Kingdom, you’ll play a key role in tackling environmental crime and improving public spaces for residents and businesses. Key Responsibilities Conduct environmental investigations (fly-tipping, waste offences, abandoned vehicles) Enforce local laws relating to littering, graffiti, noise, and waste compliance Issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs), warnings, and carry out follow-ups Gather evidence, prepare case files, and produce legal documentation Use surveillance equipment, including cameras Carry out proactive and reactive patrols across the borough Engage with the public, educating residents and businesses Support legal proceedings, including court attendance when required What We’re Looking For Confident communicator with strong people skills Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Flexibility to work occasional weekends Willingness to complete accredited training Full 5-year checkable employment history Basic DBS check required Full UK driving licence required Must be over 21 (insurance requirements for company vehicle use) Own transport required Ability to pass vetting checks What You’ll Receive Weekly pay (every Friday via HIVE360) Accredited CPD training and recognised qualifications Opportunities for career development and progression Supportive working environment Potential to transfer to permanent Kingdom contracts Employment Details You will be employed by an agency and assigned to work on behalf of Kingdom supporting West Northamptonshire Council.
