Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care Houghton on the Hill, Leicester | £14.50 – £15.50 per hour | 40 hours per week We are recruiting on behalf of a growing and established children’s residential care provider for a Team Leader to join their open and established 3-bed home based in Houghton on the Hill, Leicester. The home supports children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and provides a stable, nurturing environment where young people are supported to achieve positive outcomes. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker or Team Leader looking to join a provider that is expanding and investing in its homes and people. The Role As Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting both the children and the staff team, including: * Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day running of the home * Acting as a positive role model for staff and young people * Supporting care planning, safeguarding and behaviour management * Ensuring high standards of care in line with policies and regulations * Supporting, mentoring and developing Support Workers * Working closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager Shift pattern: * 40 hours per week * 1 shift on / 2 shifts off About You We are looking for someone who: * Has experience working in children’s residential care, ideally with EBD * Is currently a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader, or ready to step up * Has strong safeguarding knowledge and understands trauma-informed care * Is confident leading shifts and supporting staff * Holds (or is working towards) a Level 3 or Level 4 in Children & Young People * Is flexible, reliable and passionate about making a difference Salary & Benefits * £14.50 – £15.50 per hour (depending on experience) * Stable, open home with an established team * Opportunity to progress within a growing provider * Ongoing training and development * Supportive management structure Interested?
