We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers. Want to be a part of it? As a Trainee Meter Fitter you'll have the opportunity to work on behalf of Yorkshire Water installing Smart Meters on domestic properties and properties and we'll require you to travel in and around the entire Yorkshire area. You'll be required to attend 4 week training programme on all aspects of External meter installation where progression to an excavation team with fantastic earning potential. The role will be varying and you’ll be required to work outdoors in all weathers as well as walking and standing on uneven ground. You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction. As the role involves manual labour, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions, we’ll need you to have a level of fitness which will allow you to complete tasks safely.
