Overview
The Civils Site Manager role is for our client, with ITS Construction Professionals South recruiting on their behalf. The successful candidate will join the team to lead civil works on site.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations
* Conducting regular site inspections, toolbox talks and risk assessments
* Promoting a safety-first culture on site
* Maintaining site paperwork
* Managing and coordinating site operatives, subcontractors and operators
* Allocating work and ensuring effective workforce management
* Ensuring all staff are briefed on daily tasks and safety requirements
* Keeping accurate records of site activities (diaries, progress reports)
* Reporting on progress, risks, delays and issues to senior management
* Acting as the main point of contact
* Ensuring correct execution of road construction and resurfacing, drainage and kerbing etc.
* Understanding NRSWA Regulations, Section 278 works and highway authority standards
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Site Manager doing highways and heavy civils
* Strong background in Section 278
* Previous experience managing NRSWA
* Relevant tickets - SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid
* Excellent communication skills
* Great understanding of groundworks, deep drainage
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
