About the role
You will play a key role in shaping and supporting the development of our media and audience strategy, ensuring that all media investments are executed effectively and deliver maximum impact in the market. You will collaborate closely with our media agency and internal teams to plan, execute, and optimise campaigns that reach the right audiences, drive meaningful engagement, and support sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
* Support the Head of Media on the development of media strategies for the British Gas & Hive brands, ensuring each campaign aligns with our overall marketing objectives and delivers commercial growth.
* Oversee all paid media channel planning and execution, driving integration and innovation across OOH, TV, Video, Social, Audio, Strategic Media Partnerships, Programmatic, and Performance.
* Collaborate with brand, campaigns, commercial, and data teams to refine the plans for each brand, considering market dynamics, audience behaviours, and media consumption trends.
* Manage relationships with the media agency, overseeing campaign recommendations and improving ways of working.
* Lead on campaign reporting, delivering accurate and data‑led insights to senior internal stakeholders.
* Collaborate with performance marketing teams to develop a comprehensive data strategy and create data‑driven marketing solutions.
* Support the implementation of strategic value‑added programs with Media Partners such as Google, Amazon, and key UK broadcasters.
* Champion a culture of marketing effectiveness by defining new measurement opportunities and aligning with the right partners.
Qualifications
* Proven track record – client or agency – in developing media strategies, leading channel planning and execution, managing agency relationships, and using data‑driven insights to align media plans with marketing objectives.
* Strong analytical thinking and the ability to interpret data to inform plans and optimise outcomes.
* Excellent judgment and reasoning, particularly when tackling complex problems and developing new solutions.
* Strategic decision‑making skills, with experience overseeing media channel planning and cross‑functional collaboration.
* Data‑driven decision-making mindset, comfortable using data to support media buying and planning decisions.
