Customs Clerk - UK & EU Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for a Trade Compliance Coordinator / Customs Clerk to join their office in Heathrow. Skills, Experience and Competencies Experience within customs/trade compliance within a large business or brokerage firm, and an in-depth understanding of UK & EU Customs regulations and documentation 3 - 5 years experience in a similar position or Customs facing role Knowledge of control documentation such as IMPROT and EXPORT permits for CITES would be preferable Proficient understanding of international trade, import duties, commodity codes, incoterms, preference and valuation Fluent in English (verbal and written) essential with expert communication skills across all levels Intermediate Excel skills Ability to work as part of a team as well as being confident to work independently. Demonstrates initiative and drive to meet deadlines while working in a busy environment. Proficient with Microsoft packages especially MS Excel and other MS packages Must be able to prioritise and organise own workload with attention to detail Able to work independently and as part of a team Must be flexible with their working hours occasional weekend work based on volume
