As a Fostering Recruitment Officer, you will play a key role in our ambitious and forward-thinking Fostering Service. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful recruitment team with big aspirations to grow and improve. Your responsibilities will include: Leading on the recruitment of foster carers for Telford & Wrekin Council, ensuring children can stay local wherever possible. Building strong connections with the local community, public services, and businesses to raise awareness of fostering. Ensuring that anyone enquiring about fostering has a positive and consistent experience throughout the process. Supporting people through the assessment process to become approved foster carers, underpinned by our recruitment strategy. Assisting with event planning and delivery, and working closely with the Marketing and Communications Officer to maximize recruitment opportunities. We are looking for someone who: Is passionate about making a difference for children and families. Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Is proactive, creative, and able to engage with diverse communities. Can work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to achieve shared goals. Experience in recruitment, marketing, or community engagement would be an advantage, but more importantly, we want someone who shares our vision and commitment to fostering. You will work closely with colleagues across the fostering service, our Communications Team, and external partners in a role that is rewarding, varied, and impactful.
