Responsibilities
:
1. Support the store manager to deliver on store KPIs.
2. Support the store manager to maximise store sales and profitability.
3. Support the store manager to deliver consistently high store standards in line with auditing.
4. Support the store manager with stock take preparation as well as utilising action plans to improve stock take results.
5. Champion a culture of safe place to work for colleagues by leading by example on food safety, health and safety and compliance.

7. Champion and lead excellent customer service for the store.
8. Champion social media for your store to drive sales.
9. Ensure customer availability of products by overseeing store ordering.
10. Support your store manager to manage the team by completing, but not limited to the following; roster writing, return to work interviews, investigation and/or note taking in line with company disciplinary and grievance policies, recruitment, inductions, training & development, appraisals, and performance management. All whilst ensuring full compliance with the company employment policies.
11. Support your store manager to manage store teams to deliver, thrive and unlock their potential.
12. Support your store manager to engage with store colleagues, the local community and charity partners.
13. You may be required to cover post office and cash with appropriate training, as and when required as part of this role.

The ideal candidate will have/be:
Role Criteria
Essential
24. At least 2 year’s recent experience in a busy convenience or supermarket at Supervisor level within a sales-based environment with some experience of margin
25. GCSE Maths and English,Grade C or above (or equivalent) and or further education in related discipline
26. Proven experience in the areas of stock control, people skills, cost control, rota planning, HACCP implementation
27. Demonstrate excellent communication skills
28. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Desirable
29. Good working knowledge of all fresh food areas
30. Good knowledge of retail stock take preparation and execution
31. Post Office, off licence, forecourt experience
