Working for our organisation
We're an organisation that is continuously improving, driven by a commitment to deliver high-quality care that our patients value. We have recently opened two new theatres at our Elective Surgical Hub in King George Hospital (KGH), and our Chief Executive, Matthew Trainer, has been recognized as the top CEO by the Health Service Journal.
Our main sites are KGH in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford. We serve over 330,000 visitors annually to our emergency departments and are campaigning for £35m to transform the A&E at Queen's to eliminate corridor care.
Our facilities include the Women's Health Hub in Ilford, an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch, and Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch, providing over 88,000 scans annually.
Our diverse staff of over 8,000 come from 146 countries, many work flexibly, and over 400 participate in our Ofsted-accredited apprenticeship programs. We are proud to be a London Living Wage employer and are preparing to introduce an electronic patient record system to improve our services.
