Technical Operator (FMCG) - Ballymena A leading manufacturer in Ballymena is seeking an experienced Technical Operator to join its growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional to take ownership of production line performance, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG environment. About the role:
1. £13.75 - £15.25 per hour (+15% shift allowance)
2. 36 - 48 hours a week
3. 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 nights off shift pattern

What you'll be doing in this role:
9. Set up and operate sleever machinery accurately and efficiently.
10. Monitor performance and resolve issues promptly to reduce downtime.
11. Conduct regular quality and safety checks, reporting any non-conformance.
12. Support the Lead Technical Operator in managing and directing the team.
13. Investigate faults, identify root causes, and sustain improvements.
14. Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
15. Drive performance to achieve 100% CTP and improve OEE to 70%.
16. Minimise waste and ensure shutdowns are completed as scheduled.
17. Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and safety.
What you'll need for this role:
18. 1–2 years’ experience operating sleever or labelling machinery, or mechanical/electrical trade background.
19. Proven experience in mechanical fault-finding and equipment maintenance.
20. Experience in high-speed manufacturing or FMCG environments.
21. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
22. Confident, proactive, and capable of leading by example.
23. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
24. Ability to work to regulatory and customer standards.
