As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering a modern, scalable data platform that supports core clearing operations, advanced analytics, and regulatory reporting.This is a high-impact role at the intersection of business and technology, ideal for an experienced data engineer who enjoys owning end‑to‑end data solutions and contributing to enterprise‑wide data strategy. What you'll need to succeed 5 years' experience in data engineering or software engineering within financial services or a similarly regulated environment Proven experience delivering at least one production‑grade data platform Strong hands‑on capability with modern data engineering tools such as Python, SQL, Airflow, Spark, Kafka, dbt, Snowflake (or equivalents) Experience with backend technologies (e.g. Java / Spring Boot) and exposure to frontend frameworks (e.g. React) Solid understanding of data governance, lineage, validation, and audit requirements Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud‑native data architectures Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation Exposure to financial services regulatory frameworks such as EMIR, MiFID II, GDPR, PFMI, or similar What you'll get in return An exciting opportunity to join an international organisation working with a major financial services organisation.
