An opportunity has arisen for a field service engineer within our UK service department.
Ideally the successful applicant will be familiar with Fuji equipment or at least related equipment in the SMT electronics industry. This is a chance to join a dynamic team of engineers to cover our customer bases in the UK, Ireland and occasionally elsewhere in Europe.
Your role will involve the installation, repair, servicing and fault finding on our Fuji equipment base. You should be mechanically or electrically qualified with a high (preferably with a good knowledge of both disciplines). You should have high analytical skills and be proficient with software support. Ideally you will be able to support all the latest Windows software packages but also some experience of database support would be very attractive.
Of course extensive in house and on the job training will be provided on our systems and this will involve learning at our European training centre in Frankfurt area. It may also involve training on new products at our manufacturing facilities in Japan. From time to time you will have the opportunity to assist our service departments throughout Europe when requested. The position is primarily based from “home office” and you will be expected to attend our customer base from your home. It is possible that due to geographical location you may frequently need to be away from the home office for up to a week depending on the nature of the service visit. Of course if the customer is relatively close to your home you can choose to travel there each day.
