We’re growing our Edinburgh team and looking for a Building Surveyor who wants real responsibility, variety and the opportunity to shape their own career. You’ll work across a wide range of commercial projects - from technical due diligence and defects analysis through to project delivery - while building strong client relationships and developing your expertise across multiple service lines. Main responsibilities: · Deliver building surveying instructions including dilapidations, defects, due diligence and project work · Take ownership of your projects from start to finish—managing delivery, priorities and client expectations · Build strong client relationships and provide clear, practical, commercially focused advice · Manage project delivery and produce high-quality reports and outputs · Support business development and contribute to growing client relationships · Take responsibility for project performance, including fees, WIP and invoicing · Work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines as part of our ‘one team’ culture About you · MRICS qualified (or equivalent) with commercial building surveying experience · Confident managing your own workload and delivering projects independently · Client-focused, with strong communication and relationship-building skills · Commercially aware, with an understanding of fees and project performance · Proactive, organised and keen to develop your career · A collaborative team player who takes ownership and shows initiative Our preference is to recruit directly wherever possible.
