Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Leadership
* Lead the EUC workstream across architecture, engineering, and delivery.
* Define and execute the EUC roadmap aligned with business and IT strategy.
* Act as a thought leader in modern workplace technologies and digital user experience.
2. Architecture & Solution Design
* Architect end-user computing solutions with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
* Design and maintain EUC platforms including Windows, macOS, VDI, and mobile endpoints.
* Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and cloud strategies.
3. Technology Implementation
* Oversee deployment and lifecycle management of EUC technologies including:
* Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11
* Citrix/VMware VDI
* Endpoint management (Intune, SCCM)
* Application packaging and virtualization
* Drive automation and standardization across the EUC estate. 4. Security & Compliance
o Ensure EUC solutions adhere to Barclays' security policies and regulatory requirements.
o Implement zero-trust principles, identity and access management, and data protection strategies.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
o Partner with infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
o Engage with vendors and service providers to evaluate and implement new technologies.
6. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
o Identify and pilot emerging technologies to enhance user experience and productivity.
o Drive continuous improvement through analytics, user feedback, and service optimization.
Skills & Experience Required:
Technical Expertise
o Deep knowledge of EUC technologies including:
o Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, Azure AD
o Citrix/VMware Horizon, VDI
o Intune, SCCM, Autopilot
o Scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
* Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid environments. Security & Governance
o Experience implementing secure EUC environments with zero-trust architecture.
o Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
Leadership & Communication
o Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
o Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
o Ability to influence technical and business decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
o Certifications such as:
o Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
o Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization
o ITIL Foundation or Practitioner
