Overview
The Postdoctoral Training Fellow will accelerate the translation of ICR research into drug discovery programmes, contributing to the development of new drug targets across all stages of the discovery cycle.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute target validation data packages using genetics, pharmacology, and functional genomics.
* Work closely with the Centre for Target Validation and drug discovery teams to propel targets into the Centre for Cancer Drug Discovery.
* Analyse large omics data sets and design experiments to assess target tractability and therapeutic relevance.
* Collaborate with ICR investigators and external partners to validate targets and streamline seamless transition to discovery.
* Maintain project documentation and share findings with interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
* PhD in cell biology, cancer biology, genetics or related field.
* Experience in drug discovery and modern cell and molecular biology techniques.
* Proficiency in omics level profiling and handling of large datasets.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Near completion of PhD is acceptable; confirmation of award within 6 months of employment required.
* Postdoctoral experience up to 7 years (total).
