Main duties of the job We are seeking to appoint a Trust Doctor ST1/ST2 to join our friendly department, based in an associate teaching hospital which is dedicated to teaching and training. This post is also suitable for GP trainees who would like more exposure to surgical conditionsThe successful candidate will be working alongside the surgical team, assessing all general surgery admissions with one of the General Surgical firms (Colorectal, Upper GI or General Surgery) responsible for both inpatient elective and emergency work. The role will involve exposure to SAU (surgical assessment unit), elective & emergency theatre, elective clinics and on-calls (day, weekend and nights).
