Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well-known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Join Our Team
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaning Operative to support the safe and compliant operation of our site and ensure our "Safety First" vision and mission is achieved. You will work closely with site teams to promote best practices in industrial hygiene and help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy working environment for all employees. Previous experience in industrial hygiene or health and safety is desirable, along with strong observational skills and a proactive approach to risk management.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure that daily schedules are adhered to and the assigned areas meet the required standards.
Assist with meeting the departments Key Performance Indicators.
Follow instruction, training and guidelines set out by the hygiene department.
To ensure that the Hygiene Controller / Coordinator are informed to validate cleaning tasks once they are completed.
Identify area's that have a potential associated risk to food safety and raise and action accordingly.
Report defects or potential hazards to the Hygiene Controller / Coordinator.
Issue and manage deliveries of work wear from the Laundry
Assist manufacturing in reduction of waste.
Clean and litter pick of the site perimeter
Replenish and clean facilities
Safe and effective use of machines such as floor cleaners.
The Right Person
Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
Awareness of COSHH regulations and the safe use of chemicals
Experience with Hazards/Near Miss reporting.
Demonstrate pride and passion, great working environment producing quality site standards
Able to provide a high standard of work, assisting departments cross functionally
Experience in a cleaning role, preferably industrial, with high standards, good attention to detail and a willingness to work to rigorous procedures.
