This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to play a fundamental role in developing and launching a new apprenticeship strategy for DWP. DWP’s existing Apprenticeship strategy builds upon the Civil Service Apprenticeship Strategy and the Government reform of the Apprenticeship Levy into a new Growth and Skills Levy.
The DWP Apprenticeship Team are seeking two experienced development and delivery manager, who will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of apprenticeships within the DWP through the delivery of high quality Apprenticeships utilising customer experienced led evidence, supporting learners through their journey through pastoral care, additional support and guidance, development of the apprenticeship 2030 strategy, engaging with key stakeholders, and developing resources.
They will actively promote and encourage uptake of the full range of apprenticeships to colleagues across DWP, help to promote apprenticeship opportunities externally, helping to attract and develop a more skilled and professionalised workforce and ensure quality of delivery and customer experience.
These roles will sit within two areas of the team, the Experience and Delivery Team and the Governance, Planning, and Strategy Team.
* The Experience and Delivery Team: responsible for the successful delivery of apprenticeships across the DWP.
* Governance, Planning, and Strategy Team: Working closely with the wider Apprenticeship Team to develop the strategic direction for DWP Apprenticeships.
These roles will sit across two areas of the Apprenticeship Team, one in the Delivery Team and one in the Governance, Planning, and Strategy Team.
The Experience & Delivery role will include
* Management of End-to-End Apprentice Delivery, Customer Experience & Communications. Progression reporting and engaging with stakeholders to escalate and drive completions & management of budget allocations.
* Working in collaboration with the business to deliver our Agenda, with support from Profession/Capability Leads.
* Support/manage the delivery, monitoring and management of apprenticeship end to end journey across DWP
The Governance, Planning, and Strategy role will support the team in the development of the 2030 apprenticeship strategy, working closely with the
Duties in the role will include (but not be limited to):
* Support in the development and delivery of the future strategy for apprenticeships, working closely with stakeholders across People and Capability and wider DWP to ensure the strategy meets DWP’s future capability and talent needs.
* Support the preparation of stakeholder briefing packs, including for Senior Civil Servants (SCS), and assist in presenting the new strategy to relevant stakeholders.
* Provide support for stakeholder engagement meetings by coordinating logistics, facilitating discussions, and summarising key outcomes.
