Overview
At EKFB we’re shaping infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners—Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM—bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high‑speed rail projects. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Route‑wide Commercial team based in Milton Keynes.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out tasks independently and, when required, lead a small group of commercial staff.
* Perform both periodical duties and one‑off tasks in accordance with deadlines directed by the senior Commercial Team.
* Prepare and agree variation accounts for main contracts and sub‑contracts.
* Monitor costs against targets and contract progress against accepted programmes and work plans, in collaboration with other team disciplines.
* Provide input into change‑control procedures for extensions of time (EOT), delays and performance adjustments.
* Prepare and agree interim valuations, final valuations, final accounts and sub‑contract final accounts.
* Prepare and issue certifications and payments to sub‑contractors.
* Provide contractual advice to management, ensuring compliance with contract and legal administration obligations (e.g., timely issue of relevant notices).
Qualifications
* Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent.
* Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar).
* Experience at the Quantity Surveyor level, demonstrating skill in delivering positive commercial outcomes for projects.
* Ability to listen, learn, and mentor junior team members.
* Hold a CSCS card (White, White/Yellow, Red‑Experienced or Black‑Manager).
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
