Reports to: Finance Manager
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of our supplier payment processes and supporting the wider Finance function. You will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling statements, resolving queries, and supporting month-end activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately process invoices and ensure timely payments
* Select invoices for payment in line with due dates
* Reconcile supplier statements and maintain vendor contact details
* Support month-end tasks and reporting to meet group deadlines
* Monitor and manage the Finance mailbox and incoming calls professionally
* Assist with ad hoc finance tasks and provide cover during team holidays
* Ensure compliance with internal processes and contribute to continuous improvement
* Collaborate with the Management Accounts team on weekly and monthly KPIs
Skills & Experience:
* GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above)
* Experience prioritising workload and working under pressure
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Experience with SAP is desirable
* Previous experience in Accounts Payable (3 years) is desirable
