As Head of SME, you’ll lead the charge in shaping and growing the SME health insurance market – ensuring we deliver exceptional value and care to our clients. You’ll be at the forefront of driving strategy, innovation, and performance
Key Responsibilities
1. Own and deliver the growth strategy for SME, full P&L accountability.
2. Lead and inspire the account management team, and provide matrix leadership to Segment Managers across the UK & Africa.
3. Collaborate with pricing, marketing, and proposition teams to shape compelling offers and campaigns.
4. Drive new business and renewals through proactive pipeline and relationship management.
5. Represent your segment in strategic forums, contributing to the wider Distribution strategy and Sales Centre of Excellence.
6. Coach and develop sales talent, ensuring high performance and compliance.
7. Build strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, internally and externally.
8. Champion a culture of integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
9. Insurance sector - proven experience in sales leadership
10. Track record of winning new business
11. Profit & Loss management for large corporate accounts
12. Commercially astute with deep understanding of pricing, risk, and contract negotiation.
13. Strategic thinker with the ability to lead change and deliver results.
14. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
15. A consultative approach to problem-solving and client engagement.
16. Committed to delivering fair outcomes and meeting regulatory standards.
