The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school in the Wakefield area. You will be responsible for supervising whole classes of students, delivering pre:planned work, and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be a professional who can quickly build rapport with students, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and be a positive and reassuring presence.

Requirements:
* Experience working with young people, preferably in a school or educational setting.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* A strong understanding of classroom management techniques.
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness for one).

Responsibilities:
* Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher.
* Deliver pre:prepared lesson plans and activities across various subjects.
* Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a constructive learning environment.
* Respond to student questions about process and procedures.
* Encourage students to remain on task and focused on their work.
* Ensure the safety and well:being of all pupils in your care.
* Collect completed work and return it to the appropriate teacher.
* Report back to the relevant staff on student behaviour and any issues that arise.
* Be a role model for students, upholding the schools values and ethos.
* Assist with other duties as required, such as exam invigilation or break:time supervision.
