We’re working with an innovative and growing manufacturing business based in Doncaster, currently seeking a Product Designer to help shape and drive their next phase of product development. About the Role Our client is bringing more of their manufacturing capability in-house and is looking for a creative and practical Product Designer to help bring their concepts to life. This role is about more than just design—it’s about turning ideas into reality and making the most of the tools and talent already within the business. You’ll play a key part in developing new products from concept through to prototype and into production, working closely with the engineering team and wider departments. Key Responsibilities Transform product concepts into detailed designs and working prototypes. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable. Leverage the business’s existing capabilities to deliver innovative, functional designs. Support early-stage design and development, including testing and refining prototypes. Produce product documentation, specifications, and visual materials for internal and external use. Ideal Candidate Profile 2 years’ experience in a product design role within a manufacturing environment. A degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a similar discipline. Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities—comfortable working cross-functionally. Not necessarily from an engineering background, but must be comfortable working closely with engineers and manufacturers. Bonus: Experience in electrical product design or exposure to electrical manufacturing environments. Why Join?
