Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a focus on quality, creativity, and food safety. As the Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in menu development, team management, and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality.
Duties
* Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
* Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive team environment.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Train and mentor kitchen personnel in cooking techniques, food presentation, and service standards.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies to minimise waste.
* Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Requirements
* Two years experience as a Head Chef in a similar venue.
* Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* Demonstrated experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff.
* Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills.
* A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
