Senior European Procurement Manager - Construction/Fit Out - London - (c. £80k + package)
Do you want to play a pivotal role in the expansion of one of Europe's fastest growing casual dining chains?
We are currently recruiting a Senior Category Manager to manage all spend relating to new store development and asset maintenance for or a highly successful and rapidly expanding casual dining chain.
The role covers 5 key European regions - the UK, Germany, France, and Spain. Total spend under management is c. £150million which is roughly split 80/20 between 50 new store developments per year and asset maintenance for their almost 300+ existing portfolio.
You will take the lead on all procurement related to new store development across all subcategories including design and architecture, subcontractors, materials, engineering, signage, M&E, fit-out, capex equipment, utilities, and FF&E. The focus is on working closely with in-country leadership and property/design teams to rationalise design and specifications, reducing total cost per store development whilst maintaining high standards in quality and meeting pre-agreed project timelines for several projects simultaneously.
This role reports into the Head of Procurement and works closely with the property and design teams and finance departments. Compensation is benchmarked at c. £80k + bonus and package DOE. You will be based in London 2 days per week and there is a requirement for moderate UK/European travel.
To be considered, you must have the following -
* Experience and exposure (ideally a subject matter expert) in relevant subcategories: construction, fit-out, hard FM, M&E, capex. Prior work on new store/venue development projects is highly preferred from a retail/hospitality or similar background. Transferrable sectors will be considered.
* A confident and proactive negotiator, comfortable balancing several projects of different scope across multiple geographies simultaneously. As such, European exposure is highly preferred.
* In addition to fluent English, either French, German, or Spanish language skills are a key differentiator, though not essential.
