About the Role
A well-established secondary school in Harrow is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join its dynamic and supportive department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at Key Stage 5 being desirable.
✅ Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Prepare students for GCSE (and A-Level, if applicable) examinations
* Contribute to departmental planning and extracurricular activities
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Degree in a Science-related discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or similar)
* Experience teaching science in a UK secondary school
* Strong classroom management skills
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
* Experience teaching A-Level
* Proven track record of strong exam results
* Passion for STEM enrichment and extracurricular engagement
