Role
The PMO Manager will be part of the Cyber Programme office, supporting the maintenance of controls and reporting related to the SPEN Cyber change agenda.
The role will assist the NIS Programme Office Manager in overseeing change governance across multiple programmes, and in collating progress and financial reports for senior stakeholders.
It involves building strong relationships within the programme team and with wider business stakeholders to ensure alignment with delivery requirements.
What you will be doing
You will:
* Lead the PMO team to ensure standards and processes are followed.
* Make critical decisions to progress deliverables and identify risks/issues.
* Escalate issues as appropriate.
* Challenge stakeholders to ensure compliance with controls.
* Produce detailed documentation within tight timelines.
* Communicate effectively across functions and levels.
* Manage expectations of C-Suite stakeholders.
* Motivate stakeholders to follow agreed actions.
* Manage workloads effectively in a dynamic environment.
* Use Microsoft Office applications proficiently.
What you will bring
You should have experience in:
* Leading a PMO team and developing junior staff.
* Managing team workloads in a shifting environment.
* Working in a regulated environment.
* Project reporting, control, and budgeting.
* Using artefacts to support project delivery.
* Designing PMO controls for change initiatives.
* Liaising with project managers, stakeholders, and vendors.
* Producing accurate work under tight deadlines.
* Challenging project managers to ensure reporting accuracy and financial analysis.
* Previous PMO experience and leadership.
* Working within a flexible timescale environment.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of UK IT landscape.
* Proficiency in MS Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
Minimum Requirements
* Previous PMO experience.
* Experience leading a PMO team.
* Ability to work within a fluid environment to deadlines.
* Commercial awareness and UK IT knowledge.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* HND or Degree (preferred).
* Industry-standard project management qualifications.
