We are looking to recruit a Medical Administrator to join our friendly Practice team in Romford. North Street Medical Care is a high-achieving surgery with over 21,100 patients across two sites: North Street Practice and Chadwell Heath Health Centre in Ashton Gardens. The candidate may be required to work at both sites as needed.
The Medical Administrator we seek must have previous administration experience in a GP surgery, good communication skills, attention to detail, a 'can-do' attitude, and be able to handle face-to-face and telephone interactions with patients and staff professionally. The role is for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. We would consider part-time hours over 5 days, not less than 33 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The job holder will undertake a wide range of administrative duties, including supporting the multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include processing electronic and hard copy information promptly, liaising with team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community providers, and using the electronic referral service (ERS). Additional duties include processing SARS and PMARs accurately and timely, and assisting in other administrative areas as needed.
