We are recruiting a Reception Teacher for a welcoming primary in Wandsworth. The Reception Teacher will design rich indoor and outdoor provision, observe and assess children’s development and plan precise next steps that secure rapid progress. This Reception Teacher role begins January 2026, with induction and planning sessions scheduled before January 2026 so the Reception Teacher can start the spring term confident and prepared.

Main duties
* Plan and deliver play-rich, evidence-informed Reception provision that develops communication, early literacy and number.
* Observe, assess and record children’s progress and use this information to plan targeted group work.
* Lead transition to Year 1, liaise with families and contribute to whole-school EYFS priorities in Wandsworth.
* Support and develop TAs in delivering continuous provision and focused interventions.
* Maintain safe, stimulating environments and keep accurate learning journals.
Person specification
* Qualified teacher with solid EYFS experience and confident assessment practice.
* Creative, organised and skilled at building strong parental partnerships in Wandsworth.
* Available to take up post January 2026 and to attend induction and handover before January 2026.
