About the Role:
An intern working in Dragonfly’s Graphic Design Team. This team delivers bespoke graphics, infographics and marketing collateral for Dragonfly intelligence products. The Graphic Design Team works closely with Intelligence Analysts to produce visuals that aid the presentation of assessments and stand-alone data visualisations that bring simplicity and understanding to complex issues. The team comprises two designers who are London-based. Your primary responsibility is to assist the designers in producing graphics. This is a fixed-term position, based in London. As with all our roles, our policy is for employees to work at least three days per week in our office.
You Will:
Work collaboratively with our Graphic Design Team and Intelligence Analysts, to obtain requirements and help to create visual content which complements the quality and clarity of our written and digital output.
Learn how to take and develop design briefs with analysts and communicate ideas for execution of visual concepts.
Learn how to visually communicate complex data that can be easily understood by a wide audience.
Contribute to producing deliverables including infographics for use within our own work, as well as bespoke pieces for clients.
Contribute to marketing collateral such as social media graphics and slide decks.
Upholding the brand guidelines, and ensuring consistency throughout all projects.
Be comfortable working with short deadlines and have confidence in recognising how to prioritise different projects.
Actively participate in the feedback process—learning to receive and apply constructive input to refine your work, while sharing your own creative perspectives.
Deliver high-quality project work within agreed timescales, seeking guidance where required.
Depending on team requirements, assist in the production of reports or briefs covering other geographical regions.
You Have:
Completed at least two years of college level study
A portfolio demonstrating a passion for graphic design and data visualisation
Experience designing presentations and slide decks
Exceptional verbal and written communication
A creative mindset to bring data and concepts to life
Foundational skills in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), and experience using Google Suite is a plus.
Working with mapping software (desirable)
