The Role:
Experience a rewarding and balanced career with us at Lane Neave as we expand our Auckland team! We’re looking for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel (8+ years PQE) as we continue to grow our transactional banking team.
This role will work closely with Lane Neave's B&F Partner across a variety of transactional banking and finance transactions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing practice with national and international reach. You’ll be exposed to a diverse range of transactions and clients, including non-bank lenders, private equity investors, and property developers.
You will also have the benefit of building close working relationships with our 160 staff through the wider firm, where a culture of shared knowledge, development and mentoring is openly encouraged.
About You:
As a senior lawyer, you’ll have 8+ years’ post qualification experience with exposure to various facets of banking law, having built a high level of technical expertise to lead end-to-end transactions with precision and efficiency. An interest and experience in the CCCFA would be beneficial, but not essential in suitable applicants.
You’ll have a strong ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate with others internally and externally, with a collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring and providing technical guidance to juniors. You’ll be the kind of person who has a positive impact on team and firm wide culture.

Please note, although a current New Zealand Law Society practising certificate will be beneficial to your application, LLB qualified candidates from relevant jurisdictions will be considered as well.
