Billing & Collection Officer needed in Wembley This is a temporary contract initially paying £18.65ph PAYE The reference number is: 000B 1465 / 1 The successful candidate will ensure that all Council Tax, Business Rates, Adult Social Care Debt, Parking and Road Traffic Debt, Sundry Debt and Housing Benefit Overpayments are accurately billed, collected and recovered in line with legislation, case law and local policy. They will identify correct liable parties and liability dates, assess eligibility for discounts, exemptions, reductions and refunds, and maintain precise billing and database records across all revenue streams. They will resolve customer and stakeholder enquiries to a consistently high standard, progressing cases through the appropriate recovery stages to maximise collection while considering individual circumstances. The successful candidate will also maintain comprehensive records of all contact and decisions, updating systems accurately and following all relevant procedures to support the delivery of an efficient, compliant and customer‑focused service.
