Job Overview
Leadership of the cloud engineering function across the Trust, developing, implementing, optimising and maintaining the Trust's cloud-based systems, supporting the Technical Architect in delivering trust-wide IT projects and solutions.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Technical Architect with strategic definition and development of the Trust Cloud architecture.
* Act as the Trust’s Cloud Technical Design Authority, overseeing design across all IT systems, hardware and software, ensuring adherence to the IT architecture and project governance.
* Lead the implementation of cloud architecture solutions across clinical and business applications based on enterprise strategy, architecture principles, business capabilities and requirements.
* Develop and maintain cloud solutions according to best practices, ensuring compliance with legal and mandated technology standards such as DSPT and Cyber Essentials.
* Apply software engineering practices to build and maintain a system-wide Azure environment.
Qualifications & Experience
* Cloud platform certification (e.g., AZ900, AZ104 or equivalent).
* Experience delivering cloud migration, management (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
* Infrastructure-as-Code experience: Terraform, hybrid infrastructure, VMWare.
* Disaster Recovery and backup experience – execution of DR, HA, backup and resilience designs.
* Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and best practices.
