As part of an exciting period of growth, we’re evolving our Technology function and creating new opportunities across the team. This is a rare opportunity to join as Head of Architecture, leading the enterprise-wide vision and direction of our technology landscape.
In this senior leadership role, you’ll ensure technology, data and solution design are joined up, sustainable and aligned to organisational priorities. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, shaping investment decisions and ensuring architectural direction enables delivery, manages risk and maximises long-term value.
What you’ll be doing
1. Define and lead the enterprise architecture vision, principles and roadmap across technology, data and platforms
2. Establish and oversee architecture governance and design authority to support delivery at pace while managing risk
3. Shape enterprise-wide roadmaps, ensuring consistency, reuse and long-term sustainability of the technology estate
4. Lead and develop a high-performing architecture function, building capability and professional standards
5. Act as a senior advisor to executives and programme leaders, influencing strategic and investment decisions
What you’ll bring
6. Significant experience operating at a senior level within an enterprise architecture function
7. Proven ability to influence executives and senior stakeholders on technology strategy and investment decisions
8. Strong understanding of enterprise-scale technology landscapes, including platforms, infrastructure and solution design
9. Experience establishing architecture governance and design authority at organisational scale
10. Strong leadership capability, with experience building and developing high-performing teams
Desirable
11. Experience defining enterprise architecture strategies and long-term roadmaps
12. Familiarity with frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent
13. Experience working within portfolio, programme or investment governance environments
14. Understanding of security, resilience, compliance and risk management at enterprise level
