A welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Preston is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with experience teaching within Key Stage 1 – ideally with a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, phonics delivery, and early assessment frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons that support pupil progress and development. You’ll be supported by a welcoming SLT and have access to experienced Teaching Assistants in class.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Recent experience teaching within KS1
* Strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum
* Ability to engage, inspire, and support young learners
ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are encouraged to apply – full support and mentoring can be provided for the right candidate.
Pay Information:
The pay rate for this position is between £120 and £150 per day, depending on your level of experience. This rate applies for the first 12 weeks of the booking.
About Agency Worker Regulations (AWR):
After 12 weeks in the same role, Agency Worker Regulations (AWR) will apply. This means you will be entitled to the same pay and working conditions as a teacher employed directly by the school. This includes parity in pay, access to internal vacancies, and comparable working hours and responsibilities. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
