This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth order processing, excellent customer support, and timely delivery of goods. Acting as the key link between customers, sales, production, and logistics, you’ll play an important part in keeping our operations running efficiently. This is a fixed-term contract (9–12 months) to cover maternity leave. If you are passionate about customer service, highly organised, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment – we’d love to hear from you. * Monday to Friday working week 40hr week * £28k salary Key Responsibilities Customer Service * Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone, email, and other channels. * Provide accurate information on products, pricing, and delivery schedules. * Handle complaints professionally, aiming for quick and effective resolution. * Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers. Order Processing & Administration * Accurately process customer orders, ensuring product availability and correct pricing. * Maintain up-to-date records in AX (ERP system), including delivery dates and order status. * Prepare and issue invoices, delivery notes, and related documentation. * Support general office administration: welcoming visitors, answering phones, arranging travel, and coordinating services. Planning & Scheduling * Develop and maintain production plans (short and long-term) based on demand forecasts and operational capacity. * Create and update schedules through the Demand & Supply (MRP) tool. * Manage order flows in AX, ensuring accuracy in picking lists, stock consumption, and pallet booking. Demand & Supply Coordination * Analyse demand forecasts and translate them into production requirements. * Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure materials are available. * Proactively manage shortages, surpluses, and any supply chain disruptions. Logistics Coordination * Arrange transportation and delivery schedules with internal teams and logistics partners. * Track shipments and update customers on delivery status. * Manage returns, exchanges, and damaged goods in line with company processes. * Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and internal policies. Reporting & Communication * Maintain accurate customer and shipment records. * Provide regular reports on order status, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction. * Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless operations. Skills & Competencies * Proven experience in customer service; experience in planning/scheduling is desirable. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure. * High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling. * Proficiency in MS Office and order/logistics management systems (AX experience preferred). * Problem-solving skills with a proactive and positive mindset.
