Teaching Personnel is working with a Pupil Referral Unit ( PRU) in Tameside that is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support pupils aged 11– 16 from September 2025. Role Responsibilities: Work 1: 1 or in small groups with students presenting challenging behaviour Support pupils to manage emotions and make positive behaviour choices Encourage engagement with learning and build positive relationships Use restorative and trauma- informed approaches to promote success The School: A specialist setting for students unable to access mainstream education Strong emphasis on nurture, respect, and personalised support Collaborative, experienced team with excellent support systems Ideal Candidate: Background in youth work, SEMH, SEN, mentoring, care or support work Resilient, empathetic, and able to maintain firm but fair boundaries Confident managing complex behaviours in a safe and structured way What’s on Offer: Competitive daily rate: £ 89–£ 110 Weekly pay via PAYE Full- time, long- term opportunity with the potential to go permanent Regular CPD and support from a dedicated consultant All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
