Job Summary

Responsibilities
* Support and deliver practical plumbing workshop sessions.
* Demonstrate safe and effective working methods to learners.
* Prepare tools, materials and equipment for sessions.
* Work closely with the course team to support learner progress.
* Contribute to the development of learners’ technical skills in pipework, jointing, domestic plumbing systems, installation methods, safe working practices and general workshop procedures.
* Maintain a safe, clean and well‑organised workshop environment.
* Assist with learner supervision and record keeping where required.
* Ensure learners achieve high standards in their practical work.

Essential Requirements
* Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing or a professionally relevant subject area.
* Relevant commercial or domestic plumbing experience.
* Ability to confidently demonstrate practical plumbing skills and safe working practices.
* Ability to support the planning and delivery of effective practical workshop sessions.
* Understanding of current developments within plumbing and building services and ways of keeping up to date.
* Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching, learning and assessment.
* Good level of IT competence and willingness to learn new IT packages and systems.
* Ability to deal promptly and effectively with inappropriate behaviour in the classroom or workshop environment.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support learners with a range of practical abilities.
* Ability to maintain a safe, clean and well‑organised practical working environment.
