Financial Controller

Hays Senior Finance is proud to be partnering exclusively with an international engineering consultancy that supports global industrial leaders in their transition to a more responsible and sustainable future. With 230 employees and a turnover of £25m, this is a pivotal role in a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation.
The Role
As Financial Controller, you will be the key point of contact for all financial matters in the UK business and a core member of the Senior Leadership Team. Reporting to the UK Managing Director and working closely with the UK Group CFO, you will:
1. Lead all aspects of financial control, reporting, and planning
2. Drive process improvement and strengthen financial governance
3. Support strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives
4. Collaborate with Group finance leaders as the business transitions to a UK Shared Service Centre model
What We're Looking For
5. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
6. Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within engineering, consultancy, or project-based environments
7. Strong leadership, communication, and business partnering skills
8. A proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
