Job Description: Demonstrate an awareness of graphic and information design and associated technology. Assist in applying Agile working principles by taking an iterative approach to design. Support communication between technical and non-technical teams by translating design concepts into accessible language. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to team discussions and feedback loops. Engage with trends in graphic and information design and apply best practices in digital and print media. Apply evidence-based design approaches to create user-centred solutions. Contribute to strategic thinking by understanding the broader context of design work. Use appropriate tools and software to create effective design outputs. Develop a user focus, engaging with stakeholders to collect user needs evidence and apply research insights into design solutions. Essential Criteria Comfortable with learning and using complex software packages. Awareness of Agile methodology and iterative design processes. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and adapt within a small, busy team. Desirable Criteria A qualification in Graphic Design, Information Design, or a related field would be useful, although training, support and mentoring will be provided. Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud, QuarkXPress, or an equivalent would be useful, although training, support and mentoring will be provided.
