Role Overview
We seek a motivated and experienced Regulation 44 Visitor to monitor and report on care quality in our Children’s Home. The role involves acting as a critical friend to ensure compliance and promote welfare, contributing to the continuous improvement of our residential services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular visits to the Children’s Home as per Regulation 44 requirements.
* Monitor and review care, safeguarding, and welfare arrangements.
* Provide detailed, objective reports to the Registered Manager and proprietors.
* Highlight good practices and suggest improvements.
* Engage with staff, young people, and families for feedback.
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
* Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity.
Person Specification:
* Experience working with children and young people with complex needs, especially autism.
* Knowledge of regulations and statutory requirements for Children’s Homes.
* Excellent observational, communication, and report-writing skills.
* Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* Experience in residential care and educational settings.
* Commitment to promoting the rights and dignity of young people.
