As Fleet Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the operational management and coordination of our UK & Ireland fleet of vehicles, including the light commercial vehicle fleet (~260 vehicles), the company car fleet (~80 vehicles), and the grey fleet operations, while maintaining operational efficiency. You’ll also assist in developing strategic advantages for the company fleet department.
About the role
As Fleet Operations Manager, you’ll take ownership of fleet management and compliance. This includes:
1. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the vehicle fleet
2. Ensuring all fleet activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards
3. Monitoring and reporting fleet-related expenses, including fuel costs, maintenance expenses, and insurance
4. Implementing and managing fleet management software and telematics systems, ensuring they are fit for purpose
5. Generation and analysis of reports on fleet performance, costs, compliance and present findings or recommendations to senior management
6. Partnering with external suppliers, including leasing companies
What we’re looking for
7. Experience of managing a mixed fleet of light commercial vehicles and company cars
8. Ability to collaborate with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, while fostering positive working relationships
9. Strong organisational skills
10. Experience of managing a departments budget and costs
11. Understanding of fleet and road safety regulations and compliance requirements
12. Excellent analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and generate insight
