The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is delivered in line with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations, while effectively managing labour, materials, and equipment to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight:
* Supervise all aspects of M&E works from start to completion
* Monitor progress to ensure alignment with project plans, drawings, and relevant standards
* Inspect ongoing works to ensure quality and compliance with regulations
Safety Management:
* Enforce all site health and safety protocols and regulations
* Educate workers and subcontractors on safe working practices and emergency procedures
* Conduct regular site inspections and toolbox talks to identify and mitigate hazards
Team & Logistics Coordination:
* Organise and manage work schedules for site teams and subcontractors
* Coordinate delivery and effective use of materials, tools, and equipment
* Lead and support teams through mentoring, on-the-job training, and performance feedback
Communication & Reporting:
* Serve as a key point of contact between project managers, engineers, clients, and suppliers
* Maintain detailed site records including daily logs, safety inspections, and progress reports
* Clearly communicate tasks and expectations to workers and resolve site-based issues
Problem Solving:
* Proactively identify and address conflicts or issues on site
* Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and safety
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a construction supervision or site management role
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
* In-depth knowledge of construction methods, M&E systems, and safety regulations
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
* Comfortable working in varied construction environments and shift patterns
Minimum Qualifications:
* Health & Safety training (IOSH or higher)
* Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or equivalent
* Recognised electrical or mechanical qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent)
