Know your way around a toolbox? Take pride in keeping things safe, tidy, and running smoothly?
We’re working with a friendly school in BS15 looking for a reliable, hands-on Caretaker to join them after Easter through to the end of August.
This isn’t just about unlocking doors. It’s about being the steady presence who keeps the building secure, the grounds looking smart, and the little day-to-day jobs sorted before they turn into big ones. You’ll be a key part of the school community, the go-to person when something needs fixing, moving, checking, or setting up.
What your afternoons will look like:
• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
• Locking up and ensuring the site is secure each evening
• Setting up halls and classrooms for events or the next day
• Monitoring health and safety across the site
• Keeping outdoor areas tidy and safe
The school is looking for someone who:
• Is practical and proactive, you spot problems before they escalate
• Has previous caretaking, site, or maintenance experience
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and site security
• Is organised, dependable, and happy to muck in
You’ll be joining a supportive team who genuinely value the role caretakers play in keeping everything ticking along. Schools don’t run without people like you.
