Job Description:
This is an award-winning premium event catering company with over 20 years of experience, passionate about food and catering for a wide range of events from private dinners to weddings and formal balls. They focus on local produce, innovative chefs, and memorable experiences. Originating from a family-run farm in Northamptonshire, they serve East Anglia, the Midlands, London, and beyond. Due to expansion, they are seeking an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, develop menus, manage staff, and ensure high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead creative menu development using seasonal and local ingredients.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
* Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive environment.
* Collaborate on event planning, seasonal menus, and promotions.
* Monitor food costs, inventory, and waste for efficiency.
* Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain cleanliness.
* Build relationships with suppliers for quality ingredients.
* Explore new culinary trends to keep offerings innovative.
Qualifications:
* 2-3 years experience as an Executive Chef with large event experience (up to 500+ guests).
* Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Responsible for health and safety compliance.
* Experience with budgeting, stock control, and cost management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Natural leader, able to work under pressure.
* Experience with fine dining or 1-2 AA Rosette level preferred but not essential.
* Hours are flexible; part-time or full-time options can be discussed.
Salary: £55k - £60k
