Join Our Team as a Speech-Language Pathologist!

Are you a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a knack for working with children? We are looking for someone like you to support elementary students in Salem, OR! This is an exciting contract position for the upcoming school year, where you can make a real difference in the lives of young learners.


Key Responsibilities

* Deliver direct therapy: Provide speech-language therapy to elementary students based on their Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Conduct teletherapy: Ensure continuity of care through effective remote sessions when needed.
* Collaborate: Work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to set and achieve therapy goals.
* Document progress: Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions and student advancements, and assist in IEP meetings.
* Supervise and develop: Provide supervision as applicable and engage in ongoing professional development.


Qualifications and Experience

* Certification: Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
* Pediatric experience: Have experience working with children in healthcare and educational settings.
* Teletherapy proficiency: Be comfortable using teletherapy platforms and remote instruction methods.
* Clinical Fellowship Year: Eligible for or currently completing your CFY is acceptable.
* School-based knowledge: Familiarity with educational therapy models is preferred.
* Bilingual skills: Proficiency in a second language is highly desirable to meet district needs.
* Itinerant work: Ability to travel between multiple school sites as required.


Work Details

* Full-time hours: 40 hours per week.
* Contract duration: Aligns with the normal school year (NSY).
* Itinerant services: Paid travel between schools is included.
* Caseload model: The district utilizes a defined caseload model with caps.
* Administrative support: Time for administrative tasks and team meetings is built into your schedule.
* Training provided: Receive training on the district's IEP system.
