Do you want to make a difference and be part of a vibrant and inclusive organisation that has been helping save lives for more than a century? As one of the country’s best-loved charities, St John Ambulance played a pivotal role in responding to the pandemic as well as ‘everyday’ health emergencies, training, supporting communities, and improving young people’s lives.
The NHS Cadets Project aims to support young people to learn about the NHS and prepare them for either a clinical or non-clinical future healthcare pathway. As a Project Lead, your role is to lead the delivery of the NHS Cadets programme through 1.5 – 2 hour sessions with young people from marginalised communities across the UK involved with the NHS Cadet Programme. You will also complete 3 hours of flexible planning. Sessions will be delivered face-to-face at partner NHS Trust buildings or SJA buildings, in a hybrid way, or virtually during term time. Flexibility over travel and the ability to work evenings and weekends to support residential activities when required is essential. Please note, applicants must be 18+.
We pride ourselves on being a great place to work, offering a supportive culture with opportunities for career growth, a healthy work-life balance, and recognition for your contributions. Benefits include a competitive salary, generous pension, hybrid and flexible working, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), increasing to 38 days over 5 years, options to buy and sell holiday, free first aid and mental health courses, discounts through Blue Light and NHS online shopping, cycle to work scheme, life assurance, flu jabs, eye care, wellbeing tools, and volunteering days.
